How Excited I am to Visit the Top Tourist Attractions in China

I used to work for Chinese-Canadian employers for almost 3 years. They treated me as if I was part of their family. Every time they visit other countries (such as Italy, Dubai, and others), they always buy me souvenirs. Let’s call them Mr. and Mrs. Chiu. One day, Mrs. Chiu asked me “Would you like to come with us to China next month? We’re planning to visit Great Wall of China, one of the most incredible historical places in China. Don’t worry about anything”!

How would you feel if somebody offers you that kind of indulgence or luxury? How will you take or answer it? When she asked me that question, I was extremely excited because I will be able to see the “Forbidden City in Beijing, one of the main attractions in China.  I imagined that I will finally be able to lean on the Great Wall of China, one of the greatest historical places in China.

There was silence. Suddenly, Mrs. Chiu said “In exchange, Mr. Chiu and I would like to request you to stay in the company for 10 years.  I answered “Mrs. Chiu, thank you for the opportunity. However, I can’t accept your very kind offer. I want to go back to school.”

She disappointedly looked at me and said “Alright then, please let me know if in case you change your mind.”
